Zeus

   Zeus  is the father of the other gods. His weapon is a thunderbolt. He used it against those who displease him.

Poseidon

 Poseidon is the brother of Zeus. He is the God of the sea.

Hades

Hades is the second brother of Zeus. He is the God of the underworld.

Hera

Hera is Zeus' wife. She is the protector of marriage and takes care of married women.

Ares

Ares is the son of Zeus and Hera. He is the god of war.

Athena

Athena is Zeus' favourite child. She is the goddess of wisdom. the capital city of Greece was named after her.

 

 

Apollo is the son of Zeus,  the god of music, playing a golden lyre.

Aphrodite

Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and beauty.

Hermes

Hermes is the son of Zeus and Maia. He is Zeus' messenger. He wears winged sandals, a winged hat and carries a magic wand. He is the god of commerce.

Artemis

Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto. Her twin brother is Apollo. She is the lady of the  hunters.

Hephaestus

Hephaestus is the son of Zeus and Hera. He is the smith and armorer of the gods.

Demeter

Demeter is the sister of Zeus. She is the great Goddess of fertility and harvest.
